As well as the regular weekly activities, there’s a variety of other events and attractions which vary from month to month. Events are free (unless otherwise specified) and all are welcome to join in. Outdoor events are weather permitting. Please note that events are subject to current Covid-19 regulations.
Wednesday 13 April
11am – 12noon The WomenCentre Menopause support project are holding monthly wellness walks in the park, followed by coffee and a chat. For more details, contact email@example.com or visit the project’s Facebook page.

Easter funfair on the events field – weather permitting.
Saturday 16 April
1pm Huddersfield Petanque Club invites women and girls to come and try the game of Petanque at a free Ladies Day on the Greenhead Park terrain (by the Marsh Gates near the skate park). Boules will be provided – just remember to wear sensible shoes – no sandals. Free tea, coffee and biscuits all afternoon.
Monday 18 April
10am – 11am Pram-friendly walk in the park organised by Parent Sanctuary, a group whose aim is to improve the physical and mental health of children and their parents.
Thursday 28 April
10am – 12noon Pickleball is coming to Greenhead Park! It will be launched with an open session on tennis courts 1, 2 and 3 which have been specially marked out for the game. This fast growing sport combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis and is played by two or four people using solid paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball over a net. It’s suitable for all ages, but is particularly popular with the over 50s. After the launch, a free introduction to the game will be offered by an experienced player on Court 1 every Thursday morning at 10am, subject to reasonable weather and demand. Pickleball paddles and balls will be provided.
