Greenhead Park is a great place for children to play and have fun. You can find information about children’s playgrounds, sports facilities and other family attractions on our Park information page. Please note that the paddling pool is currently out of use.
There’s a whole host of natural features for children to explore too, with loads of scope for imaginative play and discovery. Our brand new activity sheet – designed by local artist Jo Blaker – is packed with ideas on things to see and do. You can download a copy here and it’s also on sale at the park cafes for just 50p.
Orienteering is another fun way to navigate round the park – and there are two short courses specially aimed at people with buggies, scooters etc and wheelchair users. Just download the map, and get orientated!
Family friendly events and activities take place throughout the year – check out our events page for details. Weekly activities for children include Junior parkrun on Sunday mornings, plus trips on the miniature railway and a variety of children’s rides in the summer months.
You can get regular information on upcoming events and activities in the park by joining our e-mail update list. Just contact us putting E-mail update in the message box. We will not share your contact details with anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time if you no longer want to hear from us.
