Bedding in!

Park gardeners Peter and John worked really hard last week to fill the park’s flowerbeds with thousands of summer bedding plants. The Friends of Greenhead Park gardening group did their bit to help too – and although it was a little on the wet side at times, at least there was no need to water the plants in!

Almost done!

Almost done!

We’d also like to thank volunteers from GoodGym who lent a hand taking out the old winter bedding last month.

If you like gardening and have a couple of hours to spare on a Wednesday afternoon, we’d love to see you. To find out more, call in at our weekly drop-in session in the Pavilion by the bowling greens any time between 1.30pm and 2.30pm – or just come along dressed for gardening.

If you can’t make it on a Wednesday afternoon, there are other opportunities to help out in the park – contact us if you’d like to know more.
