Welcome to the website of the Friends of Greenhead Park.
We are an independent voluntary group that works with Kirklees council and others to ensure that our park is safe, attractive and well used. If you care about Greenhead Park and would like to be part of its future, why not join us?
Drop in and see us
Every Wednesday we hold a drop-in session in the park from 1.30 pm to 2.30pm. You’ll find us in the newly completed Pavilion by the bowling greens. This bright modern building with its eco-friendly green roof provides a much-needed base for both the Friends and the Greenhead Park Bowling Club, and was officially opened by Cllr Khan, Leader of Kirklees Council at the end of October 2012.
Anyone is welcome to call in for a cup of tea and a chat and we’ll do our best to answer any queries on park management, activities, park history and so on. We can also tell you more about the work of the Friends and how to get involved. You can buy Friends of Greenhead Park publications at the drop-in session too, including our recently published history of Greenhead Hall.
